5XX SERIES AMM

Alarm Monitoring Module (AMM)

The Alarm Monitoring Module allows the system to monitor different devices, such as alarms, motion detectors, temperature sensors, etc.

The AMM will notify the system operator of any changes in condition (i.e., forced entry, low temperature).

The module connects to any port on the 508/502 panel, and can monitor up to 16 different devices per module. Multiple modules can be used to accommodate all required devices.

NOTE:

The AMM is connected to a 508i/502i controller using (1) port. This port is no longer available for a reader or other devices

Document(s):
  • Specifications

Input Power: 12 VDC at 2 amps (from panel)
Controller to AMM Connection: Eight (8) Conductor, 22 AWG Shielded Cable Maximum wiring distance to controller is 500 feet
Device to AMM Connection: Two (2) conductor 22 AWG Cable Maximum wiring distance to device is 1000 feet
Output Relay Form "C" rated 1.5 amps @ 24 VDC
    Temperature Range: -10ºC to 60ºC, non-condensing
Auxiliary Power Supply: 12 VDC required for external devices (i.e. motion detector)
  • Benefits

    High Capacity
Facilitates monitoring of up to 16 alarm, and general purpose input devices (in addition to tamper, communication failure, and auxiliary 12 VDC low voltage conditions) by the System Galaxy controllers.

    Supervision Options
Each module can be set with user defined supervision configurations. Supervision can vary from module to module.

    Intelligent Controller
Communicates with the controller bi-directionally to monitor the status of all connected devices. Informs the controller if any of those devices experience a change in condition.

    Partitionable
Each device can be given a descriptive name and priority level. Input devices can control output relays for annunciation purposes. Additional device specific data can also be configured.

    Flexible
Other devices, in addition to alarm devices, can also be monitored (i.e. temperature sensors, flow meters, pressure sensors, etc.).

    Global Functionality
Multiple inputs (i.e door opening, alarm activation) can can be linked to multiple outputs (i.e lighting, office machine activation) anywhere in the system.
